Elizabeth Tomsho, LPC (she/her)
Hi there! I’m Elizabeth and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). If you found this page, you might be looking to receive care for yourself or a loved one. Taking this first brave step is meaningful, and I want to honor wherever you are in the process. I work with adults, young adults, children, and adolescents. I am an EMDR therapist-in-training, trauma-informed, body-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.
I believe healing grows from connection, so the relationship we build will be at the heart of our work together. I bring creativity, collaboration, and curiosity to each session, drawing from somatic approaches like EMDR, nervous system regulation techniques, parts work, psychodynamic theory, and elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I’m especially passionate about supporting people who have experienced complex trauma and honoring the courage it takes to navigate their healing journeys. I also have experience and interest in supporting clients through eating disorders, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and anxiety-related concerns. My goal is to create a therapy space where you feel seen, understood, and believed, and where you can discover your own strength to make meaningful changes toward a life that feels authentic and true to you.
Through careful exploration in therapy, we can revisit experiences that once felt overwhelming and come to understand them differently. I believe by better understanding where we’ve been, we gain the ability to experience our lives with greater insight, self-trust, and compassion.
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
— T.S. Eliot
I look forward to working alongside you!
Elizabeth’s Hobbies & Interests
I love any chance I get to practice yoga! I especially enjoy going on nature walks (when our Pittsburgh weather allows), cooking, and creative projects like knitting and making friendship bracelets for loved ones.
