Chelsea Bish, MA, Mental Health Counselor, LAPC (she/her)
I am a pre-licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University in May 2025 and am currently working toward full, independent licensure. My professional background includes roles as a case manager supporting individuals with severe mental illness, a behavioral health specialist in a forensic state hospital setting, and a medical service coordinator. These experiences have shaped a grounded, compassionate approach to care that honors each individual’s unique perspective.
I work with individuals and couples 18+ and believe in walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges, offering compassion, perspective, and practical tools for healing. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe exploring what has been difficult and identifying what they want moving forward. Together, we’ll uncover what has gotten in the way of where you would like to be and create space for meaningful, sustainable change.
I specialize in working with trauma and PTSD, family-of-origin difficulties, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach weaves together cultural sensitivity, somatic awareness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I value collaboration and view therapy as a shared process rooted in curiosity, respect, and authenticity.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in relationship and that transformation is possible when clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. Whether you are seeking greater self-awareness, relief from emotional distress, or support during a period of change, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery and renewal.
